Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
At DPAT we process very little personal data, and we keep it simple. This policy explains, in plain terms, what information we collect through dpat.cl, what we use it for, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Data controller
The controller of the personal data collected through this website is DPAT SpA, Chilean tax ID (RUT) 76.913.095-0, a company incorporated in Chile ("DPAT"), owner of the website dpat.cl.
For any matter related to your personal data, contact us at contacto@dpat.cl.
2. What personal data we process
We process only two categories of data:
Data you provide voluntarily. When you fill in the contact form or write to us by email or WhatsApp, we receive your name, your email address and the content of your message, along with any information you choose to include in it.
Technical connection data. Like every website, the server hosting dpat.cl automatically records basic technical data for each visit (IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type) in its internal logs. These records exist for security and service-operation purposes and are not used to identify you or build profiles.
DPAT does not buy databases, does not profile visitors, and does not sell or transfer personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
We use the data you provide for one purpose only: to answer your inquiry and manage any business relationship arising from it. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given when you send us your message, and the pre-contractual steps you request by contacting us.
Technical connection data is processed on the basis of DPAT’s legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available.
We will only send you commercial communications if you have requested them, and you can opt out at any time by writing to contacto@dpat.cl.
4. How long we keep your data
We keep contact data for as long as your inquiry or the resulting business relationship remains active. Where no business relationship exists, we delete the data no later than 24 months after the last interaction. Records linked to tax documents are kept for the periods required by Chilean law.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell or transfer your data. To operate, DPAT uses technical providers acting as data processors: the web hosting provider where the site and email accounts are hosted. These providers process data solely to deliver the contracted service. Their servers may be located in Chile or abroad; in the latter case, the transfer takes place only for service provision and with the safeguards required by Chilean law.
Beyond the above, we will only disclose personal data where a legal obligation or a competent authority requires it.
6. Your rights and how to exercise them
Under Chilean Law No. 19,628, as amended by Law No. 21,719, you have the right to request, regarding your personal data:
- Access: to know what data of yours we process and how.
- Rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion (erasure): to have your data removed when it is no longer necessary or you withdraw your consent.
- Objection: to object to a specific processing activity.
- Portability: to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Blocking: to request the temporary suspension of a processing activity while a request is resolved.
To exercise any of these rights, write to contacto@dpat.cl stating your name, the right you wish to exercise and the details needed to identify you. We will respond within the legal term of 30 calendar days.
If you believe your request was not properly handled, you may file a complaint with Chile’s Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencia de Protección de Datos Personales).
7. Security
We apply reasonable security measures to protect the data we process: the site is served exclusively over HTTPS, access to email accounts is restricted, and we collect the minimum data necessary to answer your inquiry.
8. Minors
This website is intended for companies and individuals over 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
9. Intellectual property and use of the site
The contents of dpat.cl — texts, brand, logos, graphics and code — are owned by DPAT SpA or used with their owners’ authorization, and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without prior consent. The information published on this site is general in nature and does not constitute specific advice; DPAT is not responsible for the content of third-party sites linked from dpat.cl.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our processing activities or the applicable regulations change. The current version will always be published on this page, with its update date visible at the top.
11. Governing law and language
This policy is governed by Chilean law, in particular Law No. 19,628 on the protection of personal data as amended by Law No. 21,719. Any dispute will be heard by the competent courts of Chile. This English version is provided for convenience; in case of discrepancy, the Spanish version at /privacidad/ prevails.
